August 27, 2009

My first Choptensils Podcast, featuring the vocal talents of me, the CVT.  This first podcast contains my audio production, “The Sounds of Race,” a story using sound and music to represent my racial experience of Portland.

Welcome to the next level of Choptensils . . .

*This podcast is 10 1/2 minutes long.  For a downloadable mp3, comment here, and I’ll post a link.

  1. Awesome!
    Post the link please!

  2. wow. usually when I hear the word podcast, I think of people just talking about a subject and giving their opinions. but what you have here is unique. using sound to express the differences between different types of people was cool. looking forward to the next one!

  3. Here’s the link for downloading the mp3. It will only be good for the next 7 days (starting now), so those who are slower on the download will have to check in with me to re-up after Sept. 3.

  5. This is so exciting! Great approach with the folks as different instruments. You crack me up! It is a gift to take serious topics and personal experience and make it accessible for others.

Did you ever listen to the radio show? I was curious what you thought about it.

  6. Badass! Congrats on the switch to WordPress and the podcast was awesome! Very creative and once it got going, fun to listen to. I hope you’ll bless us with some straight-up spoken word soon too.

  7. Good to hear that you are working on a submission for the Thymos Anthology. We definitely need more submissions.
